Providing financial aid, mentoring, guidance to deserving high school or college students who are attending or have attended high school in the underserved Bedford Stuyvesant community of Brooklyn, NY, and who need financial or other aid to achieve their educational goals.

OUR STORY
Starting as a social gathering of the Boys High graduates of 1967, we have grown to include graduates from other years. We decided to add a Give Back charity to our social cause and The Men of Boys High Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt charity was formed to raise funds to provide financial aid to deserving high school and college students from the Bedford Stuyvesant community.

2024 Award Winner
Abdelrahman Marzouk
Abdelrahman, valedictorian of Boys & Girls High's class of 2024, is beginning his computer science studies at City College of New York. Scholastically, Mr. Marzouk had a 98 average through his four years. He was a student leader as Senior Class President, Junior Class Vice President, volleyball captain, and played for three years on the soccer team. He did service as a teacher's aid. He also worked within the school community to expand student entrepreneurship by collaborating with the Kingsborough Community College Science Technology Entry Program (S.T.E.P.) since 2021, working to do research pertinent to the school's needs. Mr. Marzouk's goal at university is to learn the theoretical foundations of cutting-edge computer applications, rather than just the technical aspects, hoping to use this knowledge to eventually establish his own technology company. He loves sports and hopes to eventually participate at CUNY, as well as continue in service to his school and students.

2023 Award Winners

Syriah Peters
Syriah will be attanding Cornell University in the pre-medicine program with the goal of being a cardiothoracic surgeon. Achieving the highest four-year average she was class valedictorian, she was on the Principal's Honor Roll throughout high school, won the Scholar Athlete Award for three years, and won numerous Student of the Month Awards. She has also completed numerous Advanced Placement Courses and attended the Columbia University SPREP program. Syriah was active in student government, was a member of the School Leadership Team, was a team leader of the Boys & Girls Cheerleaders, and active in a tutoring program for other students. She is part of the Aspen Challenge team at the school, identifying ways to deal with unhealthy relationships and to develop healthy ones. She has done extensive community work in the Bedford Stuyvesant/Brownsville area. Syriah is a motivated individual who draws strength from her family. She loves music, the arts, and sports.

Rasheed Jordan
Rasheed will be attending Notre Dame to pursue an electrical engineering degree. At Boys & Girls he was class salutatorian, achieved a 4.2 GPA, was on the Principal's Honor Roll for four years, was noted as a National African American Scholar, was inducted into the National Honor Society, and has taken numerous Advanced Placement Courses. Rasheed was captain of the track team, and participated on the volleyball and football teams. He was Student Body President and Junior Body President. He is a Shark Tank winner for InspiredMindsNYC promoting urban planning and agricultural gardens in Bedford Stuyvesant and was a leader in establishing a garden at Boys & Girls High. Rasheed is success driven and family and his education are important to him.
2022 Award Winners


Deven Avant
Deven is on his way to State University of New York at Buffalo to study pharmacology and perhaps a medical degree. He has an A average, is on the Honor Roll, and is a member of the National Honor Society of High School Scholars. Deven is a leader on the Boys & Girls basketball team and has done extra-curricular activities in and out of school, including founding his own charity Project Do Something, working with Meals on Wheels, being student ambassador at Boys & Girls, and being an active member of the Black Students Union. He plans on playing college basketball. He credits his success to support from his family and his religion, both of which are very important to him.
Jahzai Cook
Jahzai has started his college career this summer at Hampton University in Virginia where he will concentrate in business with an eye towards sports management, sports media, nutrition and fitness, and being an entrepreneur. He has an A average and is on the Honor Roll, has won the Kangaroo Trevor Mickens Academic Award, and is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Jahzai was captain of the Boys & Girls basketball team and plans to play college ball. Family and education are important to him and he has set high goals and standards for himself.
